With the autumn season fast approaching, I am feeling inspired to create with rich fall colors! What better way to do that then to color some pretty leaves? In the new Simon Says Stamp release of coordinating dies that match Tim Holtz stamps, there is the Nature’s Wonder leaf set—and they are such fun to color! I’ve pulled out my Distress Inks and Distress Crayons to create the layers and textures you see on this card.
The texture and color layering on this project really evokes the uniqueness of fall—and not only makes for a beautiful card, but it would also be a great mixed media piece too! You could frame this and use it as decor for the autumn season.
If you have just started hopping along with us, your next stop is Caly Person’s blog! If you would like to see the entire hop list, you can find that at the Simon Says Stamp Blog! There is SO much more inspiration to see using these brand new dies that coordinate with Tim Holtz stamp sets!
Oh wow Nina. Fall is my favorite season and you’ve captured fall with the beautiful colors and leaves. I’m blown away at watching your process. I have definitely going to use your color blends on some of my projects too. Thank you for your video.
A lot of techniques used for this beautiful card! Love the tooth and texture…the color blend to bring out the leaves is magical. Thanks for sharing your talents. Definitely don’t want to fussy cut these 🍁 leaves
A beautiful, bright and colorful card. I enjoy the Season of Fall and being here in Texas, I miss that change in the Season. I really like the wonderful background with a lovely quote. Thank you for sharing.
I love it when the dies to cut out stamps actually are a shape in themselves so that they can be used without their coordinating stamps. I liked your layered background and how you used splatters on both the background and the card base. Sequins too. My favorite part of the card is how you emphasized one word in the sentiment by replacing the stamped word with die cut letters.
i love the colors of fall, Nina! Your card and the sentiment are perfect!
