Trying a Fresh Color Combo- Stenciling a Simple Card

Sometimes you just want to play with some inks and create something that makes you happy! This card was that project for me. I wanted to try out a color combo of Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Rhubarb, Zest, and Spring—and I envisioned the card being simple and featuring techniques I love.

So I broke out Simon’s Falling in Love stencil to do a bit of blending and the background was turned into an edge-to-edge shaker—one of my favorite cards to make!

I filled the shaker with Simon’s Pastel Ice embellishment mix; it’s such a dreamy assortment of colors! The greeting I selected is an oldie-but-goodie—the Fancy Thinking of You die set. I ink blended over the shadow layer to create the perfect ombre that complemented my stenciling beautifully.
