Playing with Powder Watercolors and Stencils—a Coffee Card!
Coffee is one of my favorite things in life—whether it is a cup at home in the morning to start my day or a weekend afternoon at a local coffee shop, that freshly roasted smell warms my heart. I’m using some really cute Simon Says Stamp coffee-themed products in this card projects, which features a unique stenciling technique with powderd watercolors.
I’ve cut the Coffee Mugs dies from a watercolored background that I created with the Fresh Roast stencil and Color Burst Powdered Watercolors. The fun sentiment is from the Coffee Time stamp set. This set has many great greetings in it—if you love coffee puns, it is a must-have!
There are some life-like coffee bean embellishments on my card which are adorable. I pulled these from a This Calls for Confetti mix, but you could also use real coffee beans if you wanted (I almost did and would have if I didn’t have this mix!).
Be sure to watch the video at the top of this post to see how I created this card!
