4 Ways to Use Simon’s Holiday Card Kit!
One of my favorite card kits of the whole year is Simon Says Stamp’s Holiday Kit! It always inspires me to create many festive cards—and the timing is perfect because I’m starting to really ramp up my holiday crafts. I’m going to use the kit in this video to make 4 different cards—and I still have LOTS of leftover pieces that I plan on using to make even more with!
This card features the Festive Snowman die—which I designed for Simon Says Stamp! I couldn’t wait to use him and LOVED the fact that the kit contains Pawsitively Velvet paper so I could cut him from it (that papers makes the BEST snowy texture)! I used patterned paper and ephemera from the kit to layer behind the snowman, tied a bit of velvet ribbon around the panel and also added a few gold glitter die cut snowflakes!
This crossword puzzle inspired card is so fun! I used the Rosette layering stencils and dies to create the fun accent behind one of the ephemera pieces. I added a few stickers from the Tim Holtz Christmas book (that is also part of the kit!) to complete the sentiment.
This festive card uses some of the darling Santa-themed patterned papers, accented by an ephemera piece! I stamped the word “joy” onto the ephemera to complement the sentiments that were already printed on it. The holly pieces are from the Home for Christmas stamp set, which I colored with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut out.
This rosette card is so fun! I loved the patterned paper so much and wanted to include the Rosette layering stencils and dies as a focal point. The sentiment came from the Tim Holtz Christmas sticker book, and I added some gems to the center of each rosette on the patterned paper using Cherry Dazzling Gems.
