Stretching Your Embossing Folders: Faux Letterpress + Easy Coloring!

There are some gorgeous embossing folders in the new Simon Says Stamp Be Bold release and I am using the Branching Flowers folder in this card. I actually used the backside of the impressed design, which allowed me to create a faux letterpress effect that looks AMAZING!

I colored the flowers from the folder with Copics and Prismacolor colored pencils—the flowers are especially easy to color since there are no “lines” to stay inside of. The sentiment on my card was created with Simon’s new Fancy Mother die set, but you could swap out the greeting for anything you’d like—think birthday, thank you, thinking of you, etc.

The fun little gems in the centers of each flower are made with Sunbeam Pawsitively Dazzling Gems from Simon Says Stamp. They sparkle so beautifully!
