3 Holiday Ideas with Simon’s DieCember® Release + Blog Hop!
Are you ready for some festive Christmas inspiration?! I have two tags and a card to share with you! Today’s video is also part of Simon Says Stamp’s DieCember® release blog hop. Hop details are at the bottom of this post.
It’s been amazing being able to die cut Tim Holtz’s holiday stamps with Simon Says Stamp’s coordinating dies. Simon unveiled a whole collection of these dies in their DieCember® release. So awesome!
In my first project, I used the Bottle Brush Trees stamps and dies to make this brightly colored card. The rainbow of trees makes me so happy! I also added a greeting to this card using the Festive Print stamp set from Tim Holtz.
I also made a tag with the DieCember® release, which features the Fretwork Snowflake and Florence Medallion dies. My tag is die cut from one of Simon’s Nested Tags dies and I added stenciling on it with Simon’s Layering Snowflakes stencil set. The greeting at the bottom of the tag was silver embossed from CZ Design’s Holiday Typewriter stamp and die set.
This jolly Santa tag is so nostalgic! I stamped him from Tim Holtz’s Jolly Holiday stamp set (in Lost Shadow ink) and I used the coordinating dies to cut him out. I watercolored over the light stamping with more Distress Ink colors and I adhered him onto a tag I made from Holiday Backdrops. There is a bit of ink blending and stamping on the tag, and I also adhered an ephemera greenery piece along the bottom. The sentiment I foiled in gold from Simon’s Elegantly Modern Christmas hot foil plate and die set.

Oh my gosh, these are beautiful projects! As I scrolled through, each got a “wow”! I love the rainbow pallet for the trees. The second tag is so classic and elegant! And I love the traditional tag with Santa – would make great tags for my niece and nephew’s Christmas presents!
