4 Ideas with Tim Holtz’s STAMPtember® Collaboration Set!
I am so excited to share what I made with the grand finale of Simon Says Stamp’s STAMPtember® collaborations—this one with none other than Tim Holtz!
This exclusive set contains the stamp set, 2 stencils, plus a jar of both Grit Glow Paste and Sparkle Paste. It’s fantastic for Christmas and holiday projects; I made 4 with the products that are part of this collaboration! I’ve saved my favorite for last, so be sure to read to the end of the post!
Be sure to watch the video for all the in-depth details; I also have highlights below.
This snowy tag reminds me of a cozy ski lodge! The plaid pattern is from Tim Holtz backdrops and I stamped snowflakes from the stamp set onto the paper, as well as applied Grit Glow Paste through the star stencil. I watercolored the snowman using Distress Inks, added a star from Tim’s Fanciful Snowflakes die set, as some holiday ephemera. Check out how the tag looks in the dark—I love the glow feature!
There is also a secondary tag that layers behind the main snowman tag, which features one of the greetings from the stamp set. I also stamped snowflakes on this tag and added snow flurries with the Sparkle Paste.
I really love the vibe this Santa tag exudes! Using a Tim Holtz backdrop for the tag base, I added ink blending along with some snow flurries using the stencil and Sparkle Paste. Santa was watercolored with Distress Inks. The bow is from Tim’s Deck the Halls die set and I added some Idea-ology Candy Canes behind it. The ephemera “special delivery” tag I distressed and tucked along the bottom.
The reindeer from the Tim Holtz STAMPtember® set is just too cute! I paired him with Tim’s new Big Tidings die set, which looks awesome on top of the gift card envelope. The envelope was made from vellum with Tim’s Collector die set and I created a candy cane backdrop using his Sticks stencil, Simon’s Simple Patterns Trio stencil, red ink, and the Sparkle Paste. I added snow around the edges with white Grit Paste.
Inside my gift card envelope is a small card that the gift card can be tucked into. I made the background with Distress Mica Stain, added some stamping, and applied white Grit Paste through the snow flurries stencil.
This project is my absolute favorite that I made with the Tim Holtz STAMPtember® set! I used a clipboard frame that I had on hand and decorated it with the stamped images, many of Tim’s Idea-ology Christmas products, and even added colored lights to the interior! It features lots of many small details, which I have documented below with pictures.
And of course the best part, seeing it when the lights are turned off…
I hope you have enjoyed all of these projects using the Tim Holtz STAMPtember® collaboration set with Simon Says Stamp! Be sure to grab the set if you love it while supplies last—it is limited edition and once it’s gone, it won’t be restocked!

I loved the Christmas tag that features “Bistlines Idaho Lumber & Hardware” in Pocatello, Idaho. I grew up there and remember the hardware store! Such a special treat to see your tag feature a fond memory in Pocatello.
