Coloring Embossing Folder Designs with Ink + Simon’s Out of This World Release

Embossing folders are one of the most unique products to work with; I love how you can use them for so many different applications! Today I am using them as a focal point for the scene on my card and I’m using a new folder from Simon Says Stamp—the Lilac Clusters embossing folder. This is part of their brand new Out of This World release!

I will show you how I used inks to color this embossed design to create a stunning background on my card! The dimension from the embossing catches the ink beautifully—and with the right tools, you can really make the design shine!

I also used a Thanks Frame die from Simon as my greeting, which looks beautiful die cut from Matte Silver cardstock. To accent the florals, I sprinkled Yellow Sunsets and Lilac Sparkle sequins; they catch the light beautifully!

I’ve often struggled with coloring an embossing folder piece, so I appreciate the tips about the different blending brushes you used. Very pretty!
