Enhancing Embossed Designs + Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Days Hop
I am so excited to share today’s trio of cards because these cards all feature a new product I designed for Simon Says Stamp’s Beautiful Days release—the Pastel Color Blend Cardstocks! I am going to show you how to use these gorgeous papers with embossing folders; and then, we’re going to enhance those embossed designs with glitter!
To do this, you’ll add embossing ink on top of the paper after running the embossing folder and paper through your die cut machine. The embossing powder will then catch the clear glitter embossing powder we add over top. Setting the powder creates a clear, glittery finish that is just so beautiful!
Throughout these projects I also used some other new products from Simon’s Beautiful Days release, including the Sisters Forever stamp and die set, the Leafy Sprig die (another product I designed for this release!), plus the Everyday Acetate sentiment strips.
This technique takes your embossed designs up a notch and really accentuate the beauty of the card! I hope you were inspired by the ideas I shared today!
