Framing a Sentiment with Die Cuts + Simon’s Just for You Blog Hop

Are you ready for some more Just for You release inspiration? Sometimes it can be fun to cut apart our die cuts and use them in a unique way! I thought I would frame up one of Simon Says Stamp’s new sentiment dies—Sending Love—with an oldie-but-goodie called Etched Primrose Blooms. By using the shadow layer to cut down my die cuts, I was able to create a perfect frame around the greeting.

In addition, I added leaves with the Detail Elm Leaves die set, and Fairy Jewels from Memory Box created a nice sparkle. Behind my florals is a background I watercolored with Simon’s new Quilted cling stamp; using an emboss resist technique, I was able to keep the bright white lines of the pattern.
