3 Spring Ideas with Simon’s Limited Edition Easter Kit!
I created some fun spring-inspired projects with Simon Says Stamp’s new Limited Edition Easter Kit! It is full of pretty products that can be used to make more than just Easter projects however.
The first project I created was a sweet little treat bag; I used one of the treat bags included in the kit. To decorate, I stamped and watercolored one of the images in the Sweet Tweets stamp set. I also added a die cut greeting to the bag from the Fancy Happy Easter set. Using a clothespin, I clipped one of the tags from the kit on top—after filling it with candy of course!
I thought it would be fun to make a decor piece with those darling pom-pom bunnies! Using a vignette box from Tim Holtz, I covered the inside and outside edges of the box with patterned paper from the kit. I also used the Fancy Happy Easter dies as a mask for a white painted background on the box. To decorate, I glue grass, the pom-pom bunnies and eggs into the bottom of the box. The eggs were painted with Distress paint. I also added some cardstock clouds to the scene for depth.
For my final project, I created a silhouette of a bunny from Simon’s Chipboard, then painted it with white and Lost Shadow paints—the blush color was Kitsch Flamingo. On top of the bunny, I added the Posy die cut (colored with Copics), a sentiment from the Sweet Tweets stamp set, and topper elements from the Craft Consortium collection (all included in the kit). One last final detail was to add some pom-poms on the bunny’s tail!
