2 Ways: Watercolor with Simon’s July 2022 Card Kit

I couldn’t wait to create with the new July 2022 Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp, which features a brand new stamp set that I designed called You Shine! In this video I am sharing two different watercolor projects using the stamp set and many of the kit contents.

This card uses a window box image from the You Shine stamp set, set on top of a Window Baseboard from Tim Holtz (also included in the kit). I accented the window by layering Gilded Foundry Wax on top. I love the distressed look this card has with the textured watercoloring, gold details and vintage patterned papers layered behind the window.

My second card utilizes the adorable Flower Garden emboss and cut folder as a vintage frame behind the lemon. I created that frame by layering Distress Paint and Foundry Wax on top of the embossed details, which provides a gorgeous accent to the card. The lemon was watercolored with Distress Inks, and I added Foundry Wax splatters to help tie it in with the rest of the card.
