3 Cards! Simon’s Mother’s Day Card Kit
I was so inspired by the new Limited Edition Mother’s Day Kit from Simon Says Stamp that I created 3 different cards using the kit contents!
I made a sweet A2 card using some of the playful Paige Evans patterned paper and Suzy’s Watercoloring Card that are included in the kit. After coloring the flowers with Copics, I also colored some of the sparkly gems with the trio of Tim Holtz alcohol inks. A simple Tim Holtz Sentiments Label Sticker was the perfect greeting for this card!
Copic colors used:
- Yellow: Y11, Y13, Y19
- Pink: RV23, RV25, RV29
- Teal: BG32, BG49
- Green: YG11, YG13, YG17
This 5×7 card is all sunshine and rainbows! I love the large You Mean the World to Me greeting; I die cut that from the patterned paper, turned at an angle so I could get some diagonal stripes. The sentiment got layered onto another piece of the Paige Evans patterned paper that complimented the colors in the greeting. I stamped and colored images from the Better with Mom stamp set (I illustrated this stamp set for the kit!) with Copic markers. Those got layered behind and around my sentiment.
Copic colors used:
- Pink: RV10, RV02, RV06
- Blue: B000, B01, B02
- Yellow: Y11, Y13, Y19
My final card is an A2 and features a darling bouquet of flowers! This was made with the Flower Bundle die (which I designed for the kit!), and I cut the pieces from different colors of cardstock. After assembling the bouquet I layered it onto one of the patterned paper sheets, die cut from a Simon Says Stamp Chunky A2 Scallops die. I even embellished the edges of the scallop borders with small die cut circles of cardstock. I added a greeting from the Better with Mom stamp set, embossed with white onto gray cardstock.

Your cards are always so beautiful. I especially love the first of this trio, using the watercolor card. Just lovely! HOW do you fussy cut so precisely?..it looks like it was cut out with a die!
