Ink Blending on Glossy Cardstock + Shaped Cards–5 Examples!
I couldn’t wait to create with the new February 2022 Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp! All the gorgeous florals are so inspiring during the cold winter months. In this video, I’m going to share 5 shaped flower card ideas! Some of the examples I am showing feature an ink blended, emboss resist technique on Simon’s White Glossy Cardstock. This technique gives a beautiful finish to the blending!
This card used the Orchid Rose Bouquet from the February Kit. On the White Glossy Cardstock, I ink blended the following colors for an emboss resist: Taffy, Cadette, and Surf. The silver glitter die cut greeting is from a CZ Design Thank You set. For splatters, I chose white paint and Shimmer Mist from Brutus Monroe.
The pink card would be perfect for Valentine’s Day; on this card I used Taffy, Sweets, and Bubblegum. I added splatters of Dylusions shimmer spray, Villainous Potion Distress Spray Stain, and Brutus Monroe Shimmer Mist.
I loved how this rainbow version turned out! For this color scheme I used Blush, Peachy, Sunbeam, Surf, and Cadette. I splattered Shimmer Mist and white paint on this panel. For a sentiment, I paired up Simon’s You are Simply the Best die set with the new Simply Thank You stamp set.
My other shaped cards utilized Simon’s Nested Hearts die set; I die cut cardstock and patterned paper from the February Card Kit to layer together and make cards from.
The pink and blue card features a Thanks die from CZ Design, which was die cut from some of the glitter cardstock included in the kit. I also white embossed a greeting from the Simply Thank You stamp set to pair wit the larger greeting.
This sweet version of the heart shaped card features a large Swoopy Thank You die and a bunch of glitter Mini Hearts Party die cut.
All of these cards turned out so beautiful, thanks to the gorgeous February 2022 Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp! I hope you will watch the video to see the full details on how I made these cards.

Beautiful cards, tfs. I was wondering what is the powder tool that you used in the video? Where can you purchase it.
I really liked these cards. So many different takes on a regular card. After awhile making a regular shaped card seems to get boring. Thanks for all the great ideas.
Dang, girlfriend! You are a rock star! Gorgeous cards!
