Alcohol Ink and Copic Colored Die Cuts + Simon’s DieCember Release!
One of my favorite mediums to play with is alcohol inks! Their unpredictable nature always leaves me with a surprise finish and unique results, even if I try to replicate the same thing more than once! In this video, I am using new dies from Simon Says Stamp’s DieCember release. With those dies, I am creating an alcohol ink background and then using Copic markers on alcohol ink paper. This is a really fun technique!
I die cut the flower with the new Etched Evening Blossom die from Yupo Alcohol Ink cardstock. Yupo paper is a synthetic surface, so coloring with Copic markers on it creates a different look than regular cardstock. I love the effect! The flower is layered onto a white die cut made from the new Etched Medallion. I explain the creation process from start to finish in the video at the top of this post!

You have brought the die to life for me. The die had previously looked a bit plain and flat to me, but now it is so dynamic. I am keen to try alcohol inks now. I do a lot of paper marbling so will try die cutting big flowers with that too.
Beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration!
Love the colors. Thank you for the inspiration.
Wow! This card was outstanding. I loved the different techniques using the Yupo paper. The Diecember flower dies are so pretty and delicate and this one really made your card. Thanks for so much for sharing this. Also, didn’t know that you could use those gilding flakes that way. HMMM!
