My Trick for No-Bulk Dimensional Cards + STAMPtember® Holiday Inspiration
I LOVE creating dimension on my cards, but sometimes that makes my finished projects a lot harder to mail. I’m sure many of you face the same dilemma! That’s what prompted me to showcase one of my favorite tricks for adding no-bulk dimension. This project also features new products from Simon Says Stamp’s STAMPtember® release, including the Gift Wrap stamps and dies, Hand Lettered Holiday cling, and the Reverse Merriest Christmas sentiment strips!
I stamped and colored the Gift Wrap set, then used the coordinating dies to cut the images out. To adhere the images onto my card I used Simon’s Craft Tacky Glue. The adhesive is a thicker glue, which dries dimensional if you use a generous amount; and that’s where the magic happens! As I laid each stamped image onto the card, I made sure to not push the die cuts into the card base.
In the background of my card I stamped the new Hand Lettered Holiday cling on an angle with Fog ink. The subtle text behind the presents added the perfect texture to this card. There’s some additional embellishments with Vintage Nuvo Drops and Aqua Shimmer glitter.
I love that this card has so little bulk to it, because now I can mail this card for the holidays and I don’t have to worry about it requiring extra postage!
