Easy DIY Craft Room Storage with Alcohol Ink Colored Butterflies!

I love adding color to my craft space, so I got the idea to decorate one of my containers in my studio with some colored butterflies! These pewter Butterflies Adornments from Tim Holtz are included in the Limited Edition Spring Gnomies kit from Simon, but can also be purchased on their own. I used Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks to color the butterflies, then glued them onto this wooden caddy I keep in my studio.
This project can be done on many different types of craft storage containers. You may not have exactly this caddy that I do, but you can still adhere a rainbow of butterflies to your crafty storage – or anything else you can think of. These butterflies would also look amazing on an art piece or journal cover! I encourage you to think outside the box and add these colorful butterflies to anything you can think of!
If you are looking for even MORE ways to use this awesome, Limited Edition Spring Gnomies kit from Simon (or if cards are more your thing!), check out this video and post. I am sharing 7 mini slimline cards using mostly kit contents – you are not going to want to miss that!
