Glitter-Filled Shaker Cards + Simon’s January 2021 Card Kit!

With Christmas fast approaching, I’m planning ahead and thinking beyond the people I will want to thank for their kindness during the holidays. Simon Says Stamp’s new January 2021 Card Kit was perfect for creating some snowy thank you cards! I am using may of the contents in the kit to make a glitter set of thank you cards. Another idea for you: this would also make a great gift for someone at Christmas; pack these cards up into a nice box for a thank you card set!
All of these cards are assembled exactly the same but they all look slightly different. I used the Whimsy Stamps Blurry Flurries pattern papers as the backgrounds for the shakers. Each shaker is filled with glitter, including the Unicorn Confetti glitter in that is included in the kit; I also added sequins from Simon Says Stamp in each shaker as well.
On top of each shaker I layered snowflakes cut with the Eliza Snowflake die and Silver Holographic paper (both of which are in the kit). You could have used the Snowflake Season stamp set that is included in the kit, but I decided to pull out the Reverse Gratitude sentiment strip set for the greetings that are layered onto my snowflakes.
I also stepped up the cards a bit by adding a little bit of stamping on the inside of each card. I went with the same design but different colors for inside each card. The snowflake border is from the Snowflake Season stamp set. Take a peek:
I love how these glitter-filled shakers turned out and I can’t wait to start sending these out to loved ones. I plan on mailing them in the new Simon Says Stamp Holographic Envelopes. Here are some photos of the rest of the cards I created in this set…
