Sometimes a kit comes along and it literally feels like it was made just for you, right? I fell head over heels in love with the Limited Edition Christmas Card kit from Simon Says Stamp – so much so in fact, that I made 3 cards with it!
This is the card I will walk you through the process of in the video at the top of this post. Those adorable Twinkle Lights from Doodlebug just made me giddy! I paired them the following items from the kit: Simon’s Neighborhood die, Large Dots stencil, Jellybean and Audrey Blue inks, the Doodlebug Night Before Christmas pattern paper and the We Believe stamp set.
One item that I added on my card that is NOT part of the kit are the cute snowflake sequins – those are from the Peppermint Flakes sequin mix. They were the perfect addition for that fresh snow effect!
Speaking of snow, the next card I made has a similar look and features many of the same items … but with a slight twist!
Inside the kit are the Tim Holtz Fanciful Snowflakes dies. Oh my, how pretty these are when cut from the Holographic paper that is ALSO in the kit! I love holographic anything – can you tell?
Another addition to this card are the cute little hearts on the houses – I found those in the Night Before Christmas Mini Icons sticker sheets; you get 2 of those in the kit.
I also used the Mini Icon stickers to create the starry sky above the scene in my 3rd card!
How cute are those critters??? They are from the We Believe stamp set and I colored them with Copics. The presents, tree and stars are from the Mini Icon stickers and made a perfect backdrop. I decorated my card base with some of the Night Before Christmas pattern paper and the Schoolhouse Red envelope that is included in the kit will allow me to slip this cutie in the mail to someone for the holidays!
So much holiday cheer packed into one kit! This kit is so full of stuff – the value is incredible. I made these 3 cards and still have SO much leftover to make many, many MORE! This kit is not part of the usual monthly kit subscriptions, and it is limited edition – be sure to grab it while supplies last!
I hope you were inspired by these 3 ideas using the kit! I’m looking forward to seeing what you all make with it, too!
