Watercolor Sympathy Featuring Simon Says Stamp

Sometimes you have fun playing with watercolors and a background ends up being a finished card!

I broke out my Prima Watercolor Confections and colored in the beautiful Spring Flowers background stamp from Simon Says Stamp. For something different, I went with a more, modern style of coloring, with hard edges and low detail. I really like how that turned out!

The bold style of the background paired perfectly with a simple, white die cut; I used Simon’s Detail Meadow Butterfly. To give the butterfly a bit of subtle interest, I added Nuvo Aqua Shimmer and Tim Holtz Distress Clear Rock Candy glitter to the wings.

Finally, I few white Nuvo Drops and a sentiment strip from Simon finished everything up.
