Rainbow Distress Oxide Blending + Simon’s August 2020 Card Kit

I used the Hello Sunshine stamp set from the kit, along with some other components to make this colorful card!
I love when I can use my inks for not only stamping, but also ink blending as well! The blending was done with Distress Oxide inks and the Simon Says Stamp Clouds for Days stencil; over the blending I stamped the sun rays and heart. A white embossed sentiment highlights and focuses your view to that gorgeous sun.
Anytime I can create a coordinating envelope, I always enjoy doing so; it makes someone’s mailbox that much more happier! I ink blended the same Distress Oxide inks onto the left side of the envelope and use the Hello Sunshine stamp set to stamp the colorful clouds.
Have you gotten YOUR August 2020 Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp? If you have, I hope you’ll try out this card idea for yourself! And if you haven’t gotten the kit yet, be sure to check it out while supplies last!

Amazing card! So creative to turn the sky into the rainbow and until watching the video I had no idea that you actually used one of the clouds to create the sun. So clever. Love the envelope, too. Thanks for the inspiration and for a great video!

Hi, Nina Marie –
I love this card. I have all the supplies to make it and THANK YOU for doing a cool envelope. I often wonder why crafters’ videos don’t show embellishment of the inside, of a sentiment inside, or of an envelope, when those are very important, too. I mean, you can send a pretty card but if it’s blah inside and if the envelope is totally plain, that’s a shame.

Love your card and the way you explained it!! Thanks much!
What a cheery, sunny card and envelope. It is sure to brighten the recipient’s day and the letter carrier’s day as well.
Super colour blended together with the Distress Inks Nina. This is one of my favourite things to do as well. The cloud stencil added so much interest, yet the sun was easy to spot. What a grand idea to decorate the left hand side of the fron of an envelope. I may have to try that sometime.
This is so gorgeous. Your ink-blending looks perfect and I love the design!
Great cards and thanks for the video. I love this way of inking. It creates such a cool texture!
Nina, this was so much fun to watch. Such a cheery, beautiful design. I am inspired!
Bee-utiful blended background. Was holding off on ordering Aug kit because I wanted there to be coordinating dies. May have to reconsider and perhaps dies will cone out like for prev kit in which my order is to arrive today.

Those rainbow clouds make me so happy!
Beautiful blending on your card and envelope!! I can’t color with alcohol markers worth a hoot, but I can a least blend ink decently which is one of my favorite things to do on a card!
