Underpainting Florals Featuring Simon Says Stamp

I always enjoy watercolor techniques! Underpainting is one of those effects that is a lot of fun to experiment with because the results are always so different depending on the colors you have underneath.

In this project I used the Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers 2 stamp and die set, but you could use any image for your watercoloring. I also paired Simon’s Woodland Whimsy stamp set with the floral image for the sentiment banner.

For watercolors, I used Daniel Smith and Prima Watercolor Confections; over the watercoloring I applied some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen. The card is also embellished with Simon Says Stamp Moonshine sequins for extra sparkle.
