2 Ways to Use Simon’s August 2020 Card Kit!
With Summer now in full swing, I think most of us have been trying to soak up some sun as much as possible of late. Simon Says Stamp’s latest card kit, Picnic Parade has me itching for a delicious cookout with grilled delights and refreshing fruit salad (probably my #1 favorite picnic food!)
Included in the kit is a brand new stamp set I designed for Simon called Summertime BBQ! We created this set to coordinate perfectly with the Doodlebug Bar-B-Cute products that are also part of the kit. The images on this card are from the Summertime BBQ set, plus the adorable Picnic Parade Shape Sprinkles.
I used Simon’s Grassy Edges and Clouds for Days stencils to create the background behind my BBQ scene and some Bar-B-Cute Doodlebug papers on the card base finished everything off.
My second card is a slimline! There are two beautiful (and brand new!) slimline envelopes in this kit; I used the new Dandelion envelope to hold this coordinating card.
I stamped images from the Hello Sunshine stamp set (also part of the kit) with Simon Says Stamp ink colors.
After stamping my sentiment and accent images, I added Aqua Shimmer glitter over certain areas and some Moonshine Sequins for a bit of sparkle!
Both of these cards feature pretty much only contents that are in the August 2020 Card Kit, minus items such as the ink and tools. I hope that one of these cards inspires you to create with this new kit!
