If there is one type of interactive card that is most unique, it is a spinner card! Today I am featuring the new Simon Says Stamp Send Happiness release and the Fairytale Spinner stamp and die set!
The way spinner cards work is by having an image (in this case a fairy!) suspended between a piece of string pulled taught across an opening. If you rotate it around a few times and then let go, the fairy spins around! It is such a cool effect!
The Fairytale Spinners set has everything you need to make a fun, fairy scene. If you decide to make a spinner card, you can use any window die to create it; I chose a circle, but any other shape will work just as well!
In addition to this spinner, I made a simple floral scene card with another new stamp set from the Send Happiness release!
I loved the colors I had used in the fairy card so much that I chose the same color palette for this almost-one-layer design.
The florals are from the Thoughtful Flowers stamp set; the doodled style was simply gorgeous and I stamped them with black ink along the border of the card. I also hand-drew grass between the florals to fill things in.
I embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder and blended a bit of Peeled Paint and Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink around the edges of the card for a bit more color. Some Moonshine sequins add just the right amount of sparkle to the finished card!
Be sure to check out the entire Simon Says Stamp Send Happiness release because there are TONS more amazing products in this collection!
