3D Pop-Up Card + Simon’s July 2020 Card Kit!
Sometimes you see a stamp set and an idea pops into your head that you just can’t pass up! The stamp set included in the new Simon Says Stamp July 2020 Card Kit inspired me to create a 3D pop-up scene.
I’ve wanted to create one of these cards for a while and the kit contents made it really simple to do. The front of the card is very understated and simple, providing a great opening into the scene that is on the inside…
I watercolored a few sets of the Home Sweet Home cityscape, adhered them to strips of cardstock that are staggered in height and scored so that they fold into the card when it is closed.
Included in the kit was a jar of Gilded Avocado Cosmic Shimmer – I love how a small application of this glimmer adds the perfect “glowing” effect to the windows of my city scene!
If you’re looking to create a fun effect with your stamps, this project might be something to try! You don’t have to use the Home Sweet Home set I used – I encourage you to try out this technique with other stamp sets. Building the pop up effect is the same, no matter what images you use.

How did you cut the houses? Is there a die set for them?
So you hand cut the houses then??
This is adorable and very inspirational. I have never created a pop up card and am now itching too!
