2 Ways to Emboss [Featuring Simon Says Stamp’s June 2020 Card Kit!]
Embossing is such a versatile technique; the ways you can incorporate it into your projects is also limitless!
Today I’m using this technique with the new Simon Says Stamp June 2020 Card Kit; I will be showing you two different cards I created with embossing. Each card features mostly contents from the kit.
The emboss resist card uses Distress Oxide inks to watercolor this colorful background! The white heat embossing resists the watercolor and gives a stunning contrast to the finished card! Aren’t the images from the Beautiful Butterflies set so pretty??
Embossing on vellum gives a really elegant look to a card project. I hadn’t played with this technique for a while, so I was excited to do it again today!
The embossed butterflies provide the perfect backdrop for the rainbow letters, which are the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Typography Findings. Did you know that you can color them with alcohol inks or Copic markers?
These two techniques are a great way to stretch your stamps and create some unique effects on your projects! Which of these two techniques do you think you’ll try first? Let me know in the comments below!
