Layered Florals [Simon’s March 2020 Card Kit]
The new, March 2020 card kit from Simon Says Stamp really has me itching for Spring! The color combination of lavender, mint and green is so refreshing and invigorating – have you tried out this color palette on a card before?
I used floral images from the new Stronger Together stamp set and colored them with Copics. Using a layering effect, I arranged the florals to make this dimensional arrangement. I love how this looks on the finished card.
The florals are layered onto an ink blended background with Simon’s Mint Candy ink using multiple layers of foam tape. With Sparkling Clear sequins, I added a dew-like appearance to the leaves and the background; this, paired with a splattering of some Stamperia Sparkling White Gel, gives everything a “magical” and airy feel.
I added a sentiment over the florals using the new Bold Hello die from Simon Says Stamp; the crisp black cardstock that I cut the greeting from really contrasts the rest of the colors nicely.
Finally, I finished up this refreshing card design by mounting everything to an A2 Mint cardstock card base.
This beautiful color scheme really inspired me and I hope it inspires you too!

Lovely card, I too like your color choices, especially after a month of grey skies.
