Yes, I Love Glitter and Ink Blending [Featuring Simon’s Love You More Release]

I don’t know about you, but I have a major love-affair with yummy rainbow GLITTER ink blending. This combo literally makes my heart sing!

Before I get into today’s tutorial… Have you SEEN the new Love You More collection from Simon Says Stamp???

It has so many love-inspired products, a few of which I designed! Check them out below:

One of the new products I designed for the release is the Tumbling Hearts stencil which I used in the sparkly rainbow card you see here.

The stencil is designed in a radial pattern; I was inspired by that design element to blend my Distress Oxide inks in that same radiating fashion. The colors I used were Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet.

After blending the background, it was time to add a little sparkle… and by a little I mean a lot! Before I removed the stencil I applied a layer of Transparent Paste, which will hold the glitter. I am in love with Simon’s Unicorn Dust glitter. It has just the right amount of iridescence, which goes with ANY color you have underneath!

I know I’ve said it already, but I really do adore glitter! If you don’t have the Unicorn Dust glitter, I also recommend one of these beauties…

See those sequins? I continued the circular theme by adhering Love You and Birthday Cake sequins, radiating out from the sentiment; this really ties the whole design together.

Speaking of sentiments, I white embossed and die cut this trendy love greeting from the Love and Valentines Word Mix 2 set; I used Doll Pink cardstock for this.
