Glitter In Lay Die Cutting
Hello crafty friends! As you know, the Simon Says Stamp Fresh Bloom collection features a gorgeous assortment of Spring-themed stamps, dies, stencils and more. I really adore the Outline Floral Cross die, which I am using today in this card.
I started off by die cutting the Outline Floral Cross die from white cardstock twice, and once from silver, gold, green, blue and pink glitter papers from the DCWV Glitzy paper pad. I layered the silver glitter cross onto the two white ones, adhering the entire cross die cut onto a rectangle of handmade white paper.
Next, I worked on in-laying the other glitter die cuts into the negative spaces of the cross. With the Spring Blessings sentiment die, I cut it from Mermaid cardstock, cutting off the word “spring” so it simply said “blessings”. Onto a slate gray banner, I white embossed a Bible verse from the Tiny Words Faith stamp set. This is popped up onto the cross, along with the “blessings” greeting.
Finishing up the card, I layered the cross panel onto a card base covered with Perfectly Plaid Spring papers from Lawn Fawn (no longer available, but I had some left that I wanted to use). There are also sequins from the Simon Says Stamp Lucky Shamrock mix, which I sprinkled across the card.
I truly love how sparkly this card is, with the glitter paper in-laid between the silver Outline Floral Cross die cut; it gives the cross and colorful, yet elegant feel. I hope you were inspired by this project and will try this technique out on one of your next cards!
Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting me today; I will be back again very soon!
