Adding Details with Watercolor + Back to School Featuring Clearly Besotted!
Hello everyone! Did you catch this recent tutorial I shared on Simon Says Stamp’s blog? If you missed it, I wanted to share it here for you to check out!
With August already in full swing, this week’s tutorial seemed like the perfect time to break out the adorable, new Clearly Besotted stamp set, That’s Genius! Have you seen the cute critters in this set? I love their oversized glasses! While this set could be used in so many ways, I’ll be pairing it with the Clearly Besotted Bookworm stamps and creating a “back to school” card!
In the video below, I will show you how I watercolored these images and added extra details with simple brush strokes and techniques.
Along with the images from the That’s Genius and Bookworm stamp sets, I also paired these critters up with some of Simon’s newest exclusive sets! The fun, die cut background is from their popular Diamond Pattern background die; this die is perfect for adding great texture! Additionally, I used a couple of sentiments from our also-new, School Bus Messages set.
Tune in to the video at the top of this post to see all these pieces come together and create an adorable back to school card! These are perfect for giving to kids as a bit of encouragement on their first day of the 2018 school year! I hope you enjoyed today’s tutorial… I will be back again very soon with more videos and ideas to share!
