Hi everyone! I am back today with more inspiration for you; this time using the new Simon Says Stamp, Cool Summer Card Kit for July 2018! It is packed with color and summertime fun; and even a new Flamingo die that I designed special for the kit!

I made two cards with this kit, as I wanted to be able to show you the different looks you can get with pretty much only items that come in the kit! The only things I added to these cards were watercolors from Prima to color in the pineapple, an extra sequin mix to complement the Summer Gold sequins, and adhesives to build the cards.

This first card that features all the colorful cacti and butterflies uses many of the Amy Tangerine Summertime and Good Times clear and puffy stickers. If you watch the video, you’ll see how I turned these into cute embellishments! There is a piece of the Carta Bella Summer Splash paper layered behind the stickers; that colorful woodgrain is so pretty!

The 6×8, One Cool Pineapple stamp set contains a super-fun collection of images that evoke a happy summertime feeling. I really love the pineapple image, and thought it would be really cute to add a flower and sunglasses (also in the stamp set) on top. Everything is colored with Prima Watercolor Confections, including the simple stripe card base.

I did include some of the Summer Splash paper into the card, along with a sprinkling of Summer Gold sequins. There are a few other sequins mixed into the card for some contrast, which are from the Peach Beach (a previously released Simon sequin mix).
