Light Up Card + Simon’s Merry Christmouse Stamp Set Is Back!

Hello friends, Happy Monday!! For those of you who haven’t heard yet… today is the day that Simon is bringing back the VERY popular Merry Christmouse stamp set!

This set was released back during STAMPtember of 2015 and was SO popular it sold out immediately. Normally, Simon does not bring back STAMPtember exclusive sets, but this one was so highly requested that Simon decided to surprise everyone and bring it back one more time! Since this is such a special treat, Simon is also hosting a celebratory blog hop today, which you can find out more details about at the bottom of this post.

I love the effects that the Chibitronics lights can give to cards; I’ve done one of these a couple months ago (you can see it here), and thought I would give it another go to add some interactive fun to these images from the Merry Christmouse stamp set! I did a very basic circuit for this card, partly because the first circuit path I was going to create didn’t end up working out all that great, and also because I was only using one light on this card anyway, so I didn’t need anything elaborate. So if you are new to the Chibitronics lights and/or not yet comfortable with doing something more involved, you might want to give this idea a try.

I used Copic markers to color in these images; if you are interested in the color combinations I used for each image, I have them listed below:

• gray mouse with present: W2, W4, W5. R0000, R20, R46, R59, YG25, YG23, N0
• tan mouse with Santa hat: E30, E34, E35, R0000, R20, R46, R59
• gray brown mouse: E42, E43, E44, R20, R0000
• trees & presents: Y00, Y15, Y19, R46, R59, YG23, YG25
