Giveaway: Polychromatic Class with Altenew

Hi friends, I have some news and a giveaway for you today! Over the past few months I have been working on a class for Altenew called Polychromatic. This class is all about using LOTS of color in your projects, and I’ll be sharing 6 different lessons where I use color in different ways!

As a special gift for you as my followers, I am giving away TWO free spots in this interactive, week-long class! Throughout the live portion of the class (Sept. 21-26) I will be around to answer your questions and encourage you through the creative process. Each day during the interactive portion, a new video lesson will be available to you and you will learn fun and exciting ways to add color to YOUR projects! classes-09-2016-sample-02

Below is a sneak peek into Polychromatic, as well as a few inspiration images at the bottom of the post featuring some of the techniques and cards we’ll be creating in class!

If I have to choose just one, I would say Copic. But there are so many.

I am really new to cardmaking so I’m still learning! I took some online card classes with Tim Holtz this summer so at this point I am most comfortable with Distress Inks because they are easy to use in many different ways.

I love using Tim Holtz distress inks. It gives my projects a watercolor look which makes people think I put a lot of work into the blending of the colors which of course makes me smile because I didn’t. :)

I usually reach for my Copics, but am trying to branch out into other mediums more often.

A few years ago I would have said copics were my favourite colouring medium but with moving I’ve not had my copics as they’ve been in storage so instead I’ve been playing with coloured pencils although I’m desperate to get my hands on the 60 set of zig brush tipped markers. Fingers crossed I can persuade my Mum to lend me some money as I can’t wait til Christmas! Lol

This class looks like it will be a lot of fun! I’m experimenting with different coloring mediums and love a lot of them. Too hard to pick a favorite. I do use distress inks a lot because it seems quick and easy, but just got Zig clean color markers and done watercolors and having fun with those. Of course my copics are a favorite too…

Oh my goodness. How much would I like this class? LOTS!!! I use Promarkers and Distress Inks at the moment. When I was doing mixed media I used Caran D’Ache Neocolor II Water Soluble Wax Oil Pastels and Derwent watercolour pencils. I’ve yet to figure them out for clean and simple cards! And my lovely mum just lent me her Brushos so I’m looking forward to playing with them. Congratulations on the new class and thank you for an incredibly generous giveaway!
