Hi friends! I’m popping in with a brand new video tutorial I created for Simon Says Stamp, featuring Tim Holtz’s Distress Crayons and Crazy Dogs stamp set!
Distress Crayons are one of the newest additions to the Distress line from Tim Holtz and Ranger, and in my video I’ll be sharing tips and tricks for getting the most out of these crayons! Here’s a look at the card and mini canvas project I’ll be working on in the video:
The mini canvas is a super cute decor piece that would make a great gift! The canvas is actually a media board; which is basically a piece of chipboard covered with canvas. This makes it a better choice over a regular wood canvas because the flat, hard backing allows for stamping to be done more easily.
I’ll cover some tips on how I prepped the canvas/media board with gesso before coloring on it, and also some tricks on creating raised texture with the Distress Crayons and stencils!
Be sure to check out the video below or on the Simon Says Stamp blog!
