Newton’s Nook Reveal Day #3
Hey there everyone and welcome back for day three of the Newton’s Nook June release! Today we are showcasing the new Vegetable Garden stamp set and I have created a fun background using many of the stamps included in the set.
The Vegetable Garden stamp set can work perfectly with the new Garden Starter stamp and die sets that were revealed on Monday. However, I decided to use them on their own to create a background for this thinking of you card.
I stamped all the veggies, sentiments and scrolls onto a panel of watercolor paper; I watercolored everything in using the Zig Clean Color brush markers. I have been using these markers a lot lately and enjoy the way they blend with water, or each other.
After my watercoloring was dry, I stamped a sentiment onto a banner die from Whimsy Stamps and layered this onto my card.
For some embellishing, I added a few red hearts, which are die cut from Simon Says Stamp’s Holiday Shapes die set and tied a bit of brown and white bakers twine around the top of the card.
