Clean and Simple Christmas Card with Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello everyone! So happy you’ve stopped by today as I am sharing a clean and simple Christmas card using some non-holiday stamps from Newton’s Nook Designs! 

This is a great way to really stretch your supplies, and I hope this will inspire you to look at your stamps (and other products) in new ways.

So I started off my card by taking a sentiment from the Holiday Smooches and Holiday Wishes stamp sets and heat embossing the sentiment using Hero Arts Platinum embossing powder.

I love using my supplies in ways to be able to stretch their use, and I used a non-holiday stamp set (the Falling into Autumn set) and stamped some of the leaf and berry images with Altenew dye inks. I then took a pine branch from Fox Hollow and a heart from Sweetheart Tails to fill in extra spaces (I used Delicata Golden Glitz ink for the hearts).

Once I got everything stamped, I used Copic markers to shade some of the leaves and berries in. You don’t have to go this far, but I like how it gives the images a more realistic look.

To keep this card simple, I scored a double frame around the edges of the paper using my scoring board, and then tied a 1/2″ red satin ribbon around the bottom of the card. Finally, a bit of Wink of Stella glitter was applied over the leaves.
