Pretty Pink Posh November Release Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh November release blog hop! The November release is packed with all sorts of holiday goodies to kick start your cards for the Christmas season, and today I am going to be featuring a few of these new products! You should have arrived her from Lexa Levana’s blog.

 

 

If you follow my blog, you’ll know I have a soft spot in my heart for making critter cards… and this new Pretty Pink Posh release has many great critter images in it! For my first card, I have chosen to work with the super cute Holiday Pals stamp set and create a cute little scene for my bunny.

 

 

Because I wanted to make this card with a non-traditional Christmas color scheme, I used a lot of pinks, teals and purples in my design. All my images are colored with Copic markers, and the background is created with Tim Holtz distress inks (Seedless Preserves, Shaded Lilac, Cracked Pistachio).

I layered up the brand new Scalloped Frame (the largest one) multiple times to create a dimensional frame for my scene and the inked it with Cracked Pistachio distress ink.

 

 

And of course, no card cannot do without some pretty sequins to adorn it! I pulled out some of the light blue/teal colored sequins from the new Holly Jolly mixes and sprinkled a few Sparkling Clear sequins around as well to create a snow-like feel to the sky.

I just love the way this turned out; and I cannot get enough of those cozy earmuffs on the bunny’s head!!!

 

 

For my second card, I’ve created another scene; this time I am using both the Holiday Pals and the Winter Friends stamp sets.

The critters and other elements are all colored with Copics and I fussy cut them out using some fine tip scissors. When doing my stamping, I added little hats and reindeer antlers to the critters to dress them up a bit… isn’t that bear with the antlers just ADORABLE???

 

 

I die cut a fence using the Pretty Pink Posh Picket Fence die and I layered my critters on top of it to make them look like they are peeking out from overtop. The background is created by ink blending a few distress ink colors (Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass, Blueprint Sketch); I then added some water splatters onto my blending to add a bit of texture to the sky.

I wanted to incorporate some sequins into the sky of this card as well, but I also ended up adding some silver glitter stars too, which are die cut from the Mama Elephant Lots of Stars die; the sequins I used were Marshmallow 6mm and 4mm.
