STAMPtember Hello Fall with Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello everyone! Today is another special day as part of  the month-long STAMPtember festivities, and today we are revealing the collaboration Hello Fall stamp set with Newton’s Nook Designs!

 

 

This set is so adorable, and features some of Newton’s Nook’s favorite critters… Winston the bear, the big-earred bunny (he’s one of my favorites!), and of course… Newton himself! :) I had so much fun creating with this stamp set, I ended up making two cards! :)

 

 

My first card features the cute little Newton playing in a pile of leaves… when planning my design, I wanted to create a shaker that incorporated some of the leaves included in the set. So when I was stamping out the Newton image onto white cardstock with my Memento ink, I stamped many extra leaves as well.

 

 

For the background of my shaker I used distress inks to create a watercolor look, and I colored all my images with Copic markers.  Colors used: T0, T2, T4, T6, T8, W3, W5, W7, W9, R21, R22 for Newton. R29, R05, R89, RV99, E04, RV34, YR23, YR04,  YR27, Y21, YG03, YG97, YG99, YG95 for the leaves.

I die cut the card base using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Borders die set, and used sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to create some shaker bits that coordinated with my leaves (sequins used: Tropical Days mix, Sunshine Glow 6mm, Marshmallow 4mm).

 

 

On my next card, I’ve chosen to use the adorable little bunny that is clutching a pumpkin. When I saw this image, I knew I wanted to create a magical night setting, reminiscent of the the Snoopy Halloween special “Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown”.

I stamped the bunny onto cardstock using Memento ink, and colored him with Copics. Colors used: T0, T2, T4, T6, T8, YR15, E05, R20, W3, W5, W7.

 

 

The background is created using distress inks (Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch), and I added some water droplets as well to give a bit of interest to the sky. For a few finishing touches, I added Glossy Accents to the pumpkin and some Pretty Pink Posh Lemon Meringue, Tangerine and Sparkling Clear sequins.
