Just Fur You
Hello and Happy Monday! A few days ago, my sweet and talented friend, Ellen Haxelmans and I spent the afternoon crafting together on a Skype chat!
Despite being separated by time zones and thousands of miles of ocean, technology allowed us to still spend the afternoon together doing something we both love and enjoy!
While we chattered, Copic-colored and crafted away, I created this fun little cat card featuring the adorable I Knead You stamp set by My Favorite Things.
I stamped the window ledge onto my cardstock panel, colored it with Copics and partial die cut a circle window above it; I then embossed the panel with both a pierced circle die from Spellbinders and a Stitched Rectangles die from Simon Says Stamp.
The panel is inked with Mermaid Lagoon distress ink for some sky. I also die cut some clouds from white cardstock using the Mama Elephant Landscape Trio dies, a sun using the Lawn Fawn Springtime Showers die set and yellow cardstock, as well as some grass from green cardstock using the Grassy Fields die set by My Favorite Things. I added some details to the grass and sun with my Copics and adhered the dies onto my panel.
The fish and cat images, also from the I Knead You stamp set, are colored with Copics and fussy cut out. For an extra fun twist, I did some masking and created a “backside” to the cat to create a fun inside touch…
To finish up my card, I tied the fish to the window ledge, and stamped the sentiment “just fur you” on the inside of the card. I also inked the inside with Mermaid Lagoon distress ink and added some more Mama Elephant clouds as well.
I simply adore this little cat, and I hope you’ve enjoyed it too! You really have to stop over at Ellen’s blog, because her card is so clever and adorable… I know you will love it!
Thanks for stopping by! :)

Wow! This card is soo awesome! I love how you stamped the cat and made his back view! Wow! Love the lil hanging fishies too! Really super cute!
Super to meet you, Nina-Marie, over at Kelly’s blog. It’s exciting to see young talent that surpasses that of many veteran card makers out there!
Looking forward to watching and learning from your successes :)
