A Sunny Thank You
Hi Everyone! Today I am sharing a sweet, layered thank you card that I created using products from Lawn Fawn.
I thought the skunk from the Lawn Fawn Into the Woods stamp set would look adorable sitting in against a sunny backdrop, and decided to do some Copic coloring to achieve the look I was going for.
I started off by stamping the skunk onto some white cardstock and coloring him in with cool gray Copics (C1, C3, C5, and C7; R20 is used for the cheeks). I then fussy cut him out and set him aside as I worked on the rest of my card.
Taking an A2 white card base, I cut a sloped section off the front of my card with some scissors. I discarded the middle piece and the bottom and top portions of the card were to serve as the grass and sky.
I covered the bottom piece with some Mint cardstock that was shaded with Copic markers (YG11, YG03, YG67, G99); I also scored and paper pierced the edges of the Mint panel as well. The sky is inked with Peacock Feathers distress ink, and scored and pierced as the Mint panel was.
Using the Lawn Fawn Spring Showers die set, I die cut 8 clouds (3 small, 3 medium and 2 large) from white cardstock, as well as the sun from some Lemon cardstock. I shaded the clouds and sun with Copics (C1, C3 for the clouds; YR31, YR23 for the sun) and adhered them to my card.
The sentiment is stamped using the Lawn Fawn Milo’s ABCs stamp set, and is heat embossed onto vellum. I fussy cut it out and layered it behind my Mint panel.
I layered a white panel (cut to 4 1/4″ by 5 1/2″, behind my card front using foam tape, and attached my Mint panel and skunk overtop. I then added some more darker shading with my C1, C3 and C5 Copics.
Finally, for a few finishing touches, I added some dot detail to the sky with some blue Copics (B00 and B02), some Wink of Stella glitter, and some enamel hearts.
I love how the scene ended up coming together! I hope you too have enjoyed, and I cannot wait to hear what you think… Thank you so very much for stopping by!
