Gear Up!

Hi Everyone! I’m so happy you’ve stopped by today, as I have a fun masculine birthday card to share with you, which is also very easy to make!

Starting off, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment using stamps from the Lawn Fawn Beep Boop Birthday stamp set, onto a 4″ by 5 1/4″ cardstock panel . I then stamped the little robots and gears from the Lawn Fawn Beep Boop Birthday stamp set all over the panel using Memento ink.

With my Copic markers, I colored the robots and also used my red and blue markers to create the “confetti” around them. I scored a frame around the edges of the panel and then covered all the robots with Glossy Accents. Once dry, I layered the panel onto some black cardstock, and that finished everything off!

Inspiration & Challenges

The theme and parts of the design for this card was inspired by the MUSE challenge #119. I really liked the scattered heart background of her card, and for my card, I scattered all of my images around to make the background as the focal point. I also took inspiration from her birthday theme on her card, as well as the gender-oriented theme; but instead of feminine, I went with masculine.

This card is also submitted into the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Wednesday challenge, and the AAA Cards challenge #40 “For the Guys”.
