Lots of Hugs

Hello! I am back today to share a sweet little fox card using a digital stamp from ChiChi Memories.

I started off by printing the fox into some white cardstock and coloring it in with Copic markers (R02, YR04, YR07, E00, E21, E35, R20). I then fussy cut the fox out, and added some white details and Glossy Accents to the image as well.

I die cut a circle out of a white cardstock panel, and then embossed the panel with a chevron stencil. On another piece of cardstock, I sponged the background that will be layered behind the die cut panel. Using Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint, I created an ombre of color and then applied texture paste (mixed with some Squeeze Lemonade ink), over the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Spaced Hearts stencil.

Once the paste was dry, I layered the white panel overtop using foam tape, and then attached both pieces directly to my A2 card base.

I stamped my sentiment from the Hero Arts  XO stamp set onto some black cardstock and embossed it with Ranger Super Fine white embossing powder. I then layered this onto some cardstock inked with the Squeezed Lemonade distress ink, and attached it to the card.

I adhered my fox to the card, and to pull  everything together, I tied on a bit of twine, and scattered some hearts and small embellishments around as well.

Inspiration & Challenges

The colors for this card were inspired by the Monday Mood Board challenge #9; especially inspiring was the yellow texture on the green cactus, which I used to create the background for my panel.
