Feeling Happy
Hello! Today I am sharing a fun, one layer card as part of the month-long celebration for the Sweet Stamp Shop grand reopening!
For my card, I have chosen to work with the “Feeling Today” stamp set, and have used the different images included in the set to create a bright, geometric-style card that would be perfect for sending to someone who makes you happy! :)
I began by stamping my sentiment onto my A2 card base; the ‘today’ is stamped in gray pigment ink, the ‘I’m feeling’ is stamped in black dye ink, and the ‘happy’ is stamped in some Peacock Feathers distress ink. I also stamped a happy face in the middle of the ‘o’ for an extra fun effect.
Because this set is technically intended as a planner stamp set, it also includes a few little checkbox stamps. However, turn them 45° and you have a diamond shape! Using all four, I created a random pattern, stamped in dark pink, yellow, lime green and teal pigment inks, to frame my sentiment.
To finish off this clean and simple design, I’ve scored a double frame around the edges of my card.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my card, and that you will join in on all the festivities going on over at the Sweet Stamp Shop blog! There is a whole list of talented blogs to visit, with lots of great projects, AND…
Giveaway Alert!
There is even a $25 gift card for one lucky commenter on a random blog along the hop – so be sure to comment, follow and like as many of the designer’s links as you can along the way, because you don’t know which blog holds the prize… it could be this blog and you might just be the lucky winner!! :)
Love that you added the little smiley face on the sentiment. Cute idea.
The planner stamps work well as a border.
