Blessed Easter
Hello again! I am back to share a quick Easter card that was inspired by the Kraft Journal’s challenge for this week.
Since the theme for this challenge is “faith”, I thought the sentiment “Blessed Easter” would be a perfect fit. The stamps I used for the sentiment are from a Studio G set (not labeled), and from the Newton’s Nook “Bunny Hop” stamp set. I stamped the word ‘blessed’ in Versamark ink, and heat embossed it with some Princess Gold embossing powder, while the word ‘Easter’ is stamped in a second generation of brown pigment ink.
The rose featured on this card is from the Altenew “Vintage Roses” stamp set, and is stamped with Versamagic Wheat pigment ink, Delicata Golden Glitz ink, and some brown Colorbox pigment ink. I then went over the brown ink with some gold Wink of Stella glitter. For the leaves, I used some more Versamagic ink, in Sage and Niagara Mist.
The card base is created from some kraft cardstock, and is gold heat embossed with a medallion design from a Recollections Christmas stamp set. I also layered a few paper strips together, as well as some cream ribbon, along the bottom of the card. My flower panel is layered onto some vellum, and then adhered to the card base with foam tape.
I love how the gold embossing paired with the kraft paper, and highlighted with the cream tones, blends in the right amount of light and dimension.
I hope you’ve enjoyed and I am so happy you took some time to stop by! Happy Creating! :)
