No Line Colored Pencil On Kraft + Simon’s STAMPtember Release!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! No, it’s not Christmas but for a crafter, Simon Says Stamp’s STAMPtember celebration is pretty much the next best thing. :) September 1st is the debut of Simon’s most-elaborate release of new products, and I am using the Black-Eyed Susans stamp set that I illustrated for the release to make this pretty card that features no line coloring with pencils!

I was heavily inspired by fall colors and incorporated a lot of teal, orange, and kraft tones amongst the bright yellows. The color palette is very sophisticated and trendy!

The coloring was done with Prismacolor pencils and I used Simon’s Pawsitively Saturated Ink to blend the background behind the flowers. On top of the blending I splattered Distress Mica Stain; this added some nice shimmer. Speaking of sparkle, I added sequins from the new Morning Glory mix. Finally, I added a sentiment from the Black-Eyed Susans set, embossed in gold for a gorgeous, rich finish!

Very pretty! Thank you for designing this flower set! You make the coloring look so easy. I hope to try it soon. The shading gets me, and I need to practice. :)
