What to do with Paper Scraps and Stickers + Blog Hop!

I always get asked the question of what do I do with pattern paper scraps and stickers that are in card kits. Simon Says Stamp’s October 2020 kit has a gorgeous collection of Simple Stories Cozy Days papers and PinkFresh Studio Puffy Alpha Stickers. These paired together perfectly and also help use up the small bits of paper I have leftover from the kit.
I cut up scraps of the paper into little strips and arranged them into a custom pattern. Then I used a piece of the Burnt Orange cardstock (also in the kit) and cut it from Simon’s Large Stitched Maple die. The die is not in the kit; if you don’t have it, you could just as easily make this same card by cutting a different shape from the cardstock, such as a heart, circle, etc.
On the leaf are the PinkFresh Studio Alpha Stickers. I spelled out both the words “thanks” and “hello”. I added supporting sentiments from a previous card kit stamp set, Kind Flowers. The gold embossing I did for those greetings match beautifully with the gold accents on the stickers.
I hope you will watch the video at the top of this post. You could interpret this design into other themes and colors simply by changing the paper and die cut shape in the middle!
