Clean & Simple with Copic Markers + Sugar Pea Designs 4th Birthday Hop
Hello crafters! I am so excited to be bringing you inspiration using SugarPea Designs stamps and dies! Today is also the celebrating of SugarPea’s 4th birthday!
Can you believe it’s been 4 years for Wendy and her sweet company? I’ve had the pleasure of actually getting to see and chat with Wendy in person and she is such a kind woman. I’m so happy to guest in her celebration blog hop!
I created a card with the gorgeous Pretty Peonies stamp set; I love the detail in this image. I used Copic markers to color the floral and I added additional detail with colored pencils. The look of Copic markers and colored pencils together is gorgeous, as it makes your coloring come to life.
There is some stamping in the background behind my floral, using images in the Pretty Peonies stamp set. The stitched frame is from a Memory Box Double Stitch Rectangle die; I love stitching dies! :)
There is a beautiful set of word dies from SugarPea that I also used in this card; Mom Words. I cut the word mom from some beautiful Tonic Studios Burnished Rose mirror cardstock. Isn’t it pretty? I added the remaining greeting to say “you are simply the best”. This is from a Simon Says Stamp stamp set. I chose a generic greeting like this one, as it allows the card to be used for a variety of occasions; everything from a saying a simple hello to happy birthday!
Finally, I finished off this card by adding some pretty Rose Gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, which I added some Tonic Studios Morning Dew Nuvo Drops onto. The domed effect it creates on the sequins looks so beautiful; it’s a favorite technique of mine.
I hope you will be watching the video at the top of this post to see how this card came together. You can keep reading to learn more about the blog hop and the prizes that are up for grabs!
Thanks for visiting me today; I’ll be back again soon with more inspiration for you!
