Hello everyone! I am so glad you are here with me today, as I have two cards to share with you featuring some of the new Altenew Artist Marker colors and colored pencils!

I recently was at a retreat for Kathy Racoosin’s 30-Day Coloring Challenge Road Trip. While I was there, I colored one of the floral panels you see on these cards. It was a fun weekend of sharing time with friends I know; and I got to spend time with many of you that I knew only as my blog readers or YouTube viewers!

The stamp set is the Spring Daisy set from Altenew; I had packed my new Altenew Artist Markers (along with their previously released markers) into my travel bag (plus a million other supplies! LOL!). While at the retreat, I slowly colored away with my markers and then added additional details with my Prismacolor pencils. I will say, that this did take quite a bit of time, but it was worth the effort!

During the retreat Kathy Racoosin was sharing some of her favorite tips and tricks for coloring with us. One of which was her “nooks and crannies” technique, where she takes a really dark, black pencil and adds small shaded areas in the corners of her image. Well, I thought it would be fun to take a spin off her technique and instead use a brighter color, not black. I chose a scarlet red pencil, which is very intense and contrasts the yellows and oranges in my flowers. The difference it makes to your coloring is pretty awesome!

Such a great colour set on these stamps not just the markers but crayon also, great nooks & crannies tip/ method,if you borrowed it off Kathy then I might borrow it off you. The end result was magnificent, you pulled it all together so well, loving the term for ad hoc with the paper at the end, it made me laugh x
