Welcome to Newton’s Nook Designs Second Anniversary Blog Hop!

Newton’s Nook Designs is so excited to be celebrating their TWO Year Anniversary – two whole years of getting our paws inky!  To celebrate we have an AMAZING blog hop featuring our Design Team and some AWESOME Special Guests! You are going to love all the fun inspiration they’re sharing using Newton’s Nook Designs Stamps!

I started off by stamping the ocean waves from Shark Bites (another new Newton’s Nook stamp set), as well as the sail boat and the scroll from Message in a Bottle onto white cardstock. All of the images were then colored with Copic markers, and die cut with coordinating dies (the ocean waves were fussy cut).

A separate piece of cardstock and craft foam were die cut with the Stitched Rectangles die set from Simon Says Stamp; with a circle die from Spellbinders. The background of the window was created by ink smooshing multiple layers of Mermaid Lagoon distress ink onto some watercolor paper.  I also stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment onto the background as well.

Once my panels were adhered together, I layered all the colored and die cut images onto my card to create a scene. For some added interest, I also die cut a few clouds from white cardstock using the Spring Showers die set from Lawn Fawn. For a few more finishing touches, I stamped some seagulls from Message in a Bottle and applied Glossy Accents onto the boat and the water.
