Newton’s Nook Reveal Day #3 – Message in a Bottle

Happy Thursday everyone! I am so glad you’ve stopped by for day 3 of the Newton’s Nook reveal week!

This new stamp set also has some great coordinating dies (sold separately), and the card I have created today features a fun way to use both the stamp set and the coordinating dies!

I started off by stamping one of the bottles, the cork and the anchor included in the set, onto a piece of cardstock. With some sticky notes, I masked off the sides of the bottle and stamped the waves using a stamp from another brand new Newton’s Nook set, called Shark Bites. Masking off the water, I finally stamped the ship from Message in a Bottle.

I colored all the images with Copic markers, and taking the coordinating dies, I die cut all three pieces . I then looped a length of red bakers twine through the anchor, attached it to the back of the bottle die cut, and tied it around the neck in a knot.

On a white cardstock panel I stamped and gold heat embossed a sentiment from the Message in a Bottle stamp set, and attached my elements to the center with foam tape. The clouds are die cut from the Newton’s Naptime die set, which is a new die set for the July release!

Finally, I added some Glossy Accents to the highlights of the bottle and stamped some seagulls in black ink.
